On July 10, 2025, we conducted an outreach class for the 6th graders of Senami Elementary School in Murakami City to learn about offshore wind power.
Our staff gave an easy-to-understand introduction to how offshore wind power works and its role in society. The students then built miniature wind turbines and tried generating electricity to light up an LED bulb using the power of the wind.
When their hand-painted, original wind turbines spun vigorously and the bulbs lit up, the classroom was filled with delighted voices and bright smiles. It was a fun and engaging way for the children to start thinking about the importance of renewable energy and caring for the environment.
We will continue to work together with local children to explore and learn about the future of energy.
